Grilled Squid in Krabi, Thailand (Featured Photo)

Having spent as long as I have in Thailand and seen how much grilled squid Thais eat, it’s amazing to me there are still any squid left in the ocean. Squid in Thailand comes grilled on sticks by the side of the road (see photo), in salads, rice dishes, fried and battered, served with sauteed vegetables, even dried —  in millions of packets in Thailand’s many supermarkets.

This photo, in our featured photo series, is of grilled squid at a street stall in Krabi. Photographed byNitram 75, it was taken on December 20th, 2009 with a Canon EOS 40D.

Beautiful colors, and gorgeous composition. The photo really does make squid look delicious.
