How Much of Thailand Is Still Flooded?

Even though Thailand has been under flood water for at least two months in places, some areas of Thailand are still flooded. According to Thai PBS ‘Thailand’s Worst Flood’, after many people are asking how much of Bangkok is still flooded, the Emergency Operations Department has announced that, as of November 24th, there are still 16 provinces still flooded, with 1.8 million households still affected. Twenty five districts in Bangkok are still dealing with floods. 610 people, so far, have died.

Floods are improving in places, but they’re draining very slowly.  The BMA says they want to drain the remaining flood waters in Bangkok by December 5th, the King’s birthday, but that’s highly unlikely to happen, particularly as several experts say Don Mueang Airport will still be under water into the New Year.
