I saw The Melody (Rak Tam Nong Nee) yesterday. A Thai movie I’ve been waiting to see since its release was delayed last year due to Bangkok’s floods. The Melody was finally released in Thailand on Valentine’s Day and, yes, it was worth the wait.
The movie tells the story of a famous Thai pop singer (played by “Dan” Worrawech Danuwong) who retreats to the northern tourist town of Mae Hong Son after his career disintegrates. In Mae Hong Son, he meets beautiful and talented pianist Mork (Pariyachat Limthammahisorn) and, of course, romance blossoms.
Of course, I’m not going to tell you the story’s end, you have to see The Melody to find out. But, let me just say, if you love Mae Hong Son, or haven’t been and just want to see how beautiful it is, you must see this movie. I’ve never seen Thailand look more lovely.
