If you are looking for something fun and unusual to do in Bangkok, Thailand on February 10th, then look no further than Bangkok’s 60 Second Film Festival. It’s a festival that is just like it sounds — full of films that last no longer than 60 seconds.
Films are local from both Thais and expats, with some international fare as well, and cover the gamut from drama to comedy, documentary to horror, action to romance. There are even music videos and art films.
Master of Ceremonies for the event is American expat comedian Jonathan Samson who, astoundingly, does stand-up comedy in Thai. And VJ/DJs Gabriel Camelin and Michael Honeycomb will make sure the music is cool. And the best thing of all? Entry is completely free.
The best film will even win a 10,000 baht prize and, if you’re there, you get to vote for the winner, as it will be chosen by the audience. Several other cash prizes will also be presented.
The 60 Second Film Festival takes place at Whiteline bar and cafe on Silom Soi 8 on Friday, February 10th. You will find more information on the event’s Facebook page. And, yes, it sounds like a lot of fun.
