Follow these quick steps to easily transfer money to a Thai bank from the US or Europe
If you need to transfer money to a Thai bank, it does not matter if you are doing it for personal or business reasons, as the way to do it is exactly the same. It also only takes a few simple steps, and you can transfer money from your bank account in the US or Europe to a bank account in Thailand in just a few days.
Here is all you need to do to transfer money to a Thai bank:
1. Get the Thai bank account information from the person whose account you are transferring money to. All you need to know is the name on the account, the bank account number, and the SWIFT-BIC (Bank Identified Code) or IBAN (International Bank Account Number) of the receiving bank in Thailand.
2. Go to, call or access your bank on the internet, and complete a transfer funds form. The only information you will need to be able to complete the form and transfer money to a Thai bank is everything you just got from the person in Thailand, plus your own bank account information.

3. Pay the transfer funds fee, and your bank will handle the rest.
In most cases, if you transfer money to a Thai bank from the US to Thailand, or Europe to Thailand, it takes around 2-5 days depending on your bank and the receiving bank. I have received money in as little as 45 hours and as long as six days, so do allow for a little extra time just in case.
4. Contact the person in Thailand you are sending money to, just to let them know the transfer has been completed and to be on the lookout for the cash. Ask them to contact you after five days if it has not shown up, so you can call your bank and get them to follow up on the transfer.
And, of course, the steps are the same if you are transferring money to yourself from your US or European bank account to your Thai bank account.
