If you’re a bit behind the times and haven’t heard of Thailand’s latest pop band extraordinaire, you’re missing something cute and cool. Apple Girls Band is a brand new group that mainly plays music using applications on the iPhone. The unusual thing about this group is, unlike some that are just a gimmick, these girls can play but, even more important, they can actually sing. Plus, their songs are catchy, cute and stick in your head for days afterwards.
They just appeared live at Big Mountain 2011 in Kaow Yai National Park and have other gigs planned soon. In the band are some of the cutest Thai girls you’ve ever seen – Saitip “Walnut” Wiwatnapattapee,Pimprapa “Fern” Chalermwongwiwat, Boonyavat “Vas” Thanasomboon, Jamaporn “Tookta” Saengtong, Nichamon “Wan-Yen” Pongsuwun and Nissara “Mint” Sitthathikarnvet.
