What’s the Cost of a UK Flight to Bangkok from Heathrow or Gatwick?

Jet Airways is one of the cheapest airlines to fly the London-Bangkok route in 2012.

Getting a cheap flight to Bangkok from London, at this time, is actually a bit easier than last year, if you’re flying in the next few months. Even with airfares going up in the last year and, including the latest round of airport taxes the UK is adding to all incoming and outgoing flights, the cost to fly to or from Bangkok using Gatwick or Heathrow isn’t too bad.

The latest cost of a round-trip flight to Bangkok from London Gatwick or Heathrow, as of the middle of February, is hovering in the $1,100 (₤698) range for a round-trip flight, and that’s on something like Air India or on another Indian airline, Jet Airways.

If you want a European airline like Air France or KLM, you’re looking at closer to $1,300 (₤823) which is still $100 (₤64) cheaper than I paid during the same period last year.

Also, don’t forget, if you want a flight from Bangkok to London Gatwick or Heathrow, and not vice-versa, you can sometimes get an even cheaper flight by going through a Bangkok travel agent instead of booking with an airline online.
