Cha-Am, next door to Hua Hin, Thailand is one of the most popular beach resorts in Thailand for Thais. Lately, more tourists have been discovering Cha-Am too as it’s a little closer to Bangkok than Hua Hin, and has some excellent budget hotels. With rooms starting at only $28 a night, you’d be forgiven if you thought it was going to be a dud, but that’s not true. Beach Garden Hotel, Cha-Am – That the Beach Garden Hotel, Cha-Am is a budget hotel is surprising as it’s also rated a 4 star hotel. But, with nightly rates beginning at $30 a night it’s nothing but budget price and luxurious surroundings. All the rooms have satellite or cable TV, refrigerators, iron board, hair dryer etc. Many of the rooms also have a gorgeous ocean view. If you want the true deal though, request a room in the beach wing as all the rooms there have hardwood floors and lovely views, which really adds to the ambience of the place.

Golden Beach Hotel, Cha-Am – A 3 star luxury hotel, the Golden Beach Hotel in Cha-Am still offers budget travel at its best. Rooms begin at $43 a night in this enormous high-rise hotel that comes with all modern amenities. Satellite or cable TV, refrigerators, hairdryers, large beds in all the rooms and ocean views in many of the rooms, you’ll be forgiven if you think you should be paying a lot more money.
The Golden Beach Hotel also has suites, junior suites and two-bedroom suites available. There is a very large swimming pool, an excellent gym and sauna and massage services available.

Eurasia Lagoon Hotel, Cha-Am – This budget hotel is a smaller hotel than some of the others, but still just as lovely. Room rates begin at $40 a night with 60 rooms to choose from. You’ll get cable TV, refrigerator, hairdryer in the rooms. The hotel also has a decent business center, if you still need to do some work while you’re on vacation, and free parking if you drive down.
Located in lush tropical gardens with a lagoon, the Eurasia Lagoon Hotel will give you a laidback and carefree holiday, for not much money. 24 Bangkao Cha-am Petchburi, Thailand
