Along with their upcoming flights to Taipei, Taiwan, budget airline Thai VietJet is also launching direct flights between Phuket and Chiang Mai next week.
Flights will begin on Wednesday, September 15th, with a second flight on Sunday, September 19th.
Thai VietJet flights between Phuket and Chiang Mai will then continue every Wednesday and Sunday for the foreseeable future.
The flight from Phuket will depart at 9:50 am, with the return flight from Chiang Mai at 12:25 pm.
That means, for those who would like to travel to either Phuket or Chiang Mai and return the same day, that will not currently be possible via Thai VietJet.
As Thailand begins to open up and things go back to normal, however, that is likely to change.
Other flights Thai VietJet has planned this year are from Phuket to Chiang Rai, and Phuket to Udon Thani.
The Thai VietJet flight from Phuket to Chiang Rai will kick off on October 1st. The Udon Thani flight will not begin until over a month later on November 10th.
Anyone taking any of these flights must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, have a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test result no less than 72 hours before traveling, or have proof of recent recovery from Covid.
Learn more about specific requirements depending on the Thai province you will be traveling to, then book flights via Thai VietJet’s official website.
