What to See and Buy at Pak Klong Talad, Bangkok’s Massive Flower Market

Any trip to Bangkok, Thailand wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Pak Klong Talad (Flower Market), one of Bangkok’s oldest and most beautiful markets. Selling only flowers, accessories to create floral displays,  fruit and vegetables, it’s a photographer’s dream as well as a flower lover’s heaven.

Pak Kong Talad is open 24 hours a day, but is busiest around 4am-7am when the delivery trucks arrive with flowers and produce from all over Thailand, and Bangkok business people show up to buy them before opening their shops for the day.

While there are videos all over the net about Pak Klong Talad, this one from Tenface is gorgeous and gives you a wonderful idea about what to see and, of course, buy at Pak Klong Talad. But, if you’re looking for cheap flowers this is the place.

And a final note, when the presenter on the video shows a huge bouquet of small roses and asks how much they are, the seller replies “Samsip baht”, which in English means “30 baht” and is just less than $1. Yes, one US dollar for a huge bouquet of roses.
