Beginning last weekend, AirAsia is now flying from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi and Surat Thani. These flights are on top of their usual domestic flights from Don Mueang Airport in northern Bangkok.
AirAsia flights leave five times a day from Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai, three times a day to Phuket, and twice a day to Krabi and Surat Thani.
AirAsia’s first flight of the day from Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai departs at 6:40 am, with the one-hour 20 minute flight arriving in Chiang Mai at 8:00 am.
The latest flight departs at 8:20 pm and arrives at 9:40 pm.
Flight times to Phuket are available early afternoon and early evening, with Krabi flights available mid-morning and mid-afternoon, and flights to and Surat Thani during the early afternoon and early evening hours.
Prices one-way are also extremely affordable, with a one-way fares to all four destinations for as low as 1,233 baht ($41).

Sadly, however, AirAsia is still not able to fly international flights from Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang Airports due to Thailand’s borders still being closed to most international visitors.
With the Thai government not seeming to be anywhere near even considering opening borders in the next few months, it is likely to remain that way for a while.
That fact is certainly not a comfortable thought for the economic future of AirAsia. An airline that has been struggling for months just to stay afloat.
