If you are looking for an affordable alternative to some of Bangkok’s sky-high priced rooftop bars, look no further than the recently opened Sky on 20 at the Novotel Hotel on Sukhumvit.
The bar is on the 26th floor of the new hotel, and has gorgeous views out over Benjasiri Park and a lovely atmosphere. In fact, I was there a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say it is one of the nicest Bangkok rooftop bars I have been to. Excellent service from the attentive staff too.
As for affordable? Oh yes, it is.
With cocktails starting at just 250 baht (around $7.10), and some pretty tasty bar snacks at 300 baht plus (try the mustard chicken wings, yum!), you can spend a few hours at Sky on 20 and still not break the bank.
Even better, Sky on 20 also has specials going on every night, including Wednesday nights where you buy one pizza and get a second for only 20 baht, and mojitos on Fridays for only 150 baht. And if you love Spanish sangria, you will really enjoy Sundays from 4-8pm, as it is free flowing all that time.
Sky on 20 opens Monday through Saturday at 5pm and the fun keeps going until 2am. On Sundays you can hang out there from 4pm – 2am.
