What Kind of Food Can You Eat at Street Food Stalls in Bangkok, Thailand

When most tourists arrive in Bangkok for the first time, they’re blown away by the amount of street food you can buy here.  It is literally everywhere, on just about every street corner, with street stalls as far as the eye can see, and all stuffed with every kind of food imaginable. Food you’ve seen in Thai restaurants, food you’ve seen on TV or the internet, and food you’ve never laid eyes on before, and have absolutely no idea what it is.

If you haven’t made it to Thailand yet, but want to know what kind of food you can eat at street food stalls in Bangkok or elsewhere, this video is wonderful. It gives a quick video walk through a typical Thai street food area, then follows that up with beautiful still photos of hundreds of simply delicious foods — noodles, fish, chicken, som tam (spicy papaya salad), sausages, sausage rolls, cookies, cakes, nuts, snacks, pancakes, roti, waffles, breads, traditional Thai desserts, fried bananas, fresh fruit, grilled plantains — they’re all on here and a lot more besides.

So, to answer your question about what can you buy at a street food stall in Bangkok, or anywhere else in Thailand — everything.
