Chiang Mai International Jazz Festival 2018, fun for the whole family

With just over a week before we say goodbye to 2017, it is time to look at some of the events coming up in the first couple of months of 2018.

This fabulous one for instance — the Chiang Mai International Jazz Festival, 2018 — which will take place at the Promenada Resort Mall in Chiang Mai, Thailand on the 20th January, 2108.

Sponsored by Bangkok Airways, (which is a lovely airline, by the way), the Chiang Mai International Jazz Festival will be in its eighth year and kicks off at 6pm with live jazz music all the way through till midnight.

Artists performing include Swing King, Jazz Kamikaze, Funktion, The Isra Liberal Orchestra, Violette Wautier, and Alissa Wollmann.

There will also be food and drink from some of Chiang Mai’s best restaurants, bars and cafes. And, of course, that lovely view of Doi Suthep mountain.

Tickets are just 750 baht but, if you have flown on Bangkok Airways between November 1st, 2017 to now, or will be flying on them through January 30th, 2018, you can present your airline ticket and get a 20 percent discount.

And, even better, children under 12 years of age are admitted for free. Because, the festival is after all, fun for the whole family.
