Sign up for Bangkok’s 19th Charity Midnight Run on January 21st, 2017
Do you live in Bangkok or will be in Bangkok on January 21st, 2017 and love running? If so, you might want to sign up for the 19th Charity Midnight Run that takes place just like it sounds, at midnight, and benefits two very worthwhile charities — the Chalerm Prakiat HRH Princess Sirindhorn School, which educates the children of parents who have died of HIV/AIDS, and Baht for a Better Life, another organization that provides education for underprivileged children.
The race was originally scheduled to be held on October 15th last year, but was postponed until this month.
The 19th Charity Midnight Run gets started on Saturday, January 21st, at 12am from the Amari Wategate Bangkok hotel on Petchburi Road.
The registration fee for the charity run is 800 baht, and you have a choice of either doing the relatively easy 6 kilometer run (although, to me, running in Bangkok’s heat and humidity is never ‘easy’) or the 12 kilometer run.
Both the male and female winners of the 12 km race will be presented with a “Royal Trophy” from HRH Princess Sirindhorn. All participants will get a free t-shirt as part of their entry fee, and the first three winners of each category will also receive a trophy.
You can sign up and get more information about the run at Go To Race.
