Do the Mommy Buddy Bike and Run with your mom, you’ll both have fun and it’s for a good cause
If you are looking for something fun you can do with your mom in Bangkok, Thailand, plus help a good cause at the same time, then why not sign up for the Mommy Buddy Bike and Run?
Kicking off on August 19th, 2018 at The Walk Ratchaphruek shopping center, the Mommy Buddy Bike and Run certainly has a weird ‘Anglicized’ title, but it does sound like a lot of fun.
As all the proceeds from the event will go to Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute to help them buy new medical equipment, you and your mom would be doing something good too.
The Mommy Buddy Bike and Run itself is a variety of things, which you and your mom can choose to do just one of, or take on a duathlon — a combination of a couple of things.
These events are —
A 7k run for fun (non-competitive)
A 10k run (competitive)
A 21k bike ride (non-competitive)
A Duathlon — which includes both the 7k run and the 21k bike ride.
Each event is divided up into age groups, with trophies being awarded for the winners of each group.
The entrance fee for each event is inexpensive, with the 7k run and the 10 k run both just 500 baht each. If you want to enter the 21k bike ride, that’s only 250 baht.
Or, if you are feeling incredibly energetic and you and your mom want more than just an hour or so’s exercise, then the duathlon will set you back 700 baht.
The first 500 people to sign up will be given a free back bag. Everyone will also get a free t-shirt to commemorate the event.
