One Ok Rock concert in Bangkok is one of 7 Asian concerts announced so far
The Japanese alternative rock band One Ok Rock has announced they will be performing a concert in Bangkok later on this year.
The concert is part of the upcoming One Ok Rock ‘Luxury Disease’ Asia Tour, 2023 and will take place on December 12th at Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
The concert is in support of the Japanese band’s tenth studio album Luxury Disease, which came out via the Fueled by Ramen record label in September, 2022.
Alongside the One Ok Rock Bangkok concert, six other Asian concerts and their dates have been announced.
The seven concerts on the One Ok Rock ‘Luxury Disease’ Asia Tour, 2023 named so far are:
- Sept 16 – Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center – Taipei, Taiwan
- Sept 17 – Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center – Taipei, Taiwan
- Sept 26 – Smart Araneta Coliseum – Manila, Philippines
- Sept 29 – Beach City International Stadium – Jakarta, Indonesia
- Oct 7 – Central Harbourfront Event Space – Hong Kong
- Dec 12 – Impact Arena – Bangkok, Thailand
- Dec 18– Singapore Indoor Stadium – Singapore
The indie band also says other Asian cities will be named as more concerts are added to the tour.
One Ok Rock’s Luxury Disease album a big hit for the Japanese band
One Ok Rock’s Luxury Disease album spawned six singles — ‘Renegades’, ‘Broken Heart of Gold’, ‘Wonder’, ‘Save Yourself’, ‘Let Me Let You Go’, and ‘Vandalize’ — all of which served to help the album chart big.
The album itself went on to chart at #1 on the Oricon Japanese Albums chart, on the Japanese Hot Albums chart, on the Japanese Combined Albums chart and at #7 on the International Version of the Oricon Japanese Albums chart.
Outside Japan, Luxury Disease hit #35 on the UK Album Downloads chart and, in the United States, at #92 on the Top Current Album Sales chart.
It was certified Gold in Japan.
As for One Ok Rock’s ‘Luxury Disease’ Asia Tour, 2023, there has not as yet been an announcement about ticket sales, but that will probably come soon.
