One thing I love about living in Bangkok, Thailand are Thai smiles. Thais smile about everything. Smile at them and they will always smile back. Tease them and they will always laugh. Point a camera at a Thai and, invariably, he or she will smile.
Thai smiles make living in Bangkok so incredibly special and, when I leave to go somewhere else, I always miss the ready smiles — something I have never experienced to this extent in any other country I’ve visited – and I’ve visited many.
That’s why this video from Phrakanong is such a lovely one, as it shows exactly what you can expect if you visit Bangkok and interact even a little bit with the locals. Don’t speak Thai? Thais don’t care. They’ll smile at you anyway.
