The monthly Bangkok Farmers Market at K Village is becoming quite the place to go if you like organic fruit and vegetables from independent farmers, artisan bread, cakes and muffins, Thai desserts, hand-made soaps and beauty products, locally crafted gift items and so much more.
The Bangkok Farmers Market happens once a month on the last Saturday of each month. It starts at 9am and goes on until 5pm, although it’s best to arrive early as the farmers only have a finite number of products they sell. And when they’re sold out, they pack up and go home.
There are cooking demonstrations (both Thai and western tasty treats), live music, fun activities for the kids (they were doing face painting when I was there) and it’s all in a wholesome, family atmosphere where you can wander around, grab an organic coffee and a muffin and really have a nice time.
K Village, of course, is located on Sukhumvit Soi 26 behind the Big C supermarket. If you haven’t been before, and I highly recommend you do as it’s a very cool lifestyle mall, you’ll find directions on the K Village website.
