One of the most popular places for entertainment in Bangkok, Thailand are sports bars. With more foreigners moving to Thailand and many Thais with more disposable income, sports bars are a great way to see a live match on satellite TV, eat good food, drink great beer, meet up with some friends and even play a game or two of pool or darts. That being said, there are some Bangkok sports bars that are better than others and these three are known as some of the best.
Stumble Inn – One of the most popular sports bars in Bangkok is Stumble Inn. Located near Nana, the prostitute capital of Bangkok, don’t worry you don’t have to want to hook up with a bar girl to have a great time here.
Stumble Inn is a British-owned establishment that’s packed from the minute it opens at 10am till when it closes at 2am, with a clientele of mainly western men. At Stumble Inn, you’ll get live sports on large monitors set up around the bar. Here you can watch the latest Premier League football, cricket, rugby, tennis or motor racing games. As it’s British-owned, you won’t see much of the American sports stuff but, there’s plenty of other Bangkok sports bars that offer that.
Stumble Inn is popular for beer lovers as all their beers are only 65 baht ($2.10) all day, every day. They also have a good selection of spirits, wines and soft drinks. They don’t currently serve food but that problem is already being fixed, and their kitchen is expected to open in the next few weeks.
Of course, at Stumble Inn, you’ll get the usual group of Thai girls that work in just about any downtown bar in Bangkok that caters to men. But, they’re friendly, they’re fun and they love to talk so, why not stay and enjoy it.
You’ll find Stumble Inn at Sukhumvit Soi 4, right next to Nana Plaza, and just a couple of minutes walk from Nana sky train station.
The Sportsman Bar and Restaurant – Just about the most popular sports bar in Bangkok, it’s that way for a fair number of reasons. The Sportsman is absolutely huge, they serve incredible food, good beer, show just about every live sporting match on massive flat screen TVs and have some of the best pool tables in Bangkok. Add onto that the pretty Thai girls who work there and the American or British manager eager to help you, and, yes, The Sportsman is a must-visit place for every man in Bangkok (and actually a fair number of women).
At The Sportsman, play a game of pool or billiards on their world-class tables or enjoy a game of darts. Premier League football, Australian rugby, golf, motor sports, baseball, American football – all of this and more is shown on 10 flat screen TVs and two enormous screens.
The Sportsman is known for its food, with a great mix of Western pub food and traditional Thai dishes – particularly good if you’re with a group of Thais not big on Western food. The bar also has a good selection of beers, both domestic and imported, and a nice variety of spirits and wines.
If you’re looking for a friendly watering hole, where you can hang out at any time of the day or night, enjoy good food, a cold beer and watch your favorite sport beamed in from half a world away, then look no further than The Sportsman. It’s awesome.

The Clubhouse Sports Bar and Grill – Another favorite Bangkok sports bar, The Clubhouse Sports Bar and Grill is one of the newest sports bars in Bangkok, but that certainly hasn’t stopped it from already being the home away from home for a large number of western expats.
The Clubhouse prides itself on having more than 200 satellite channels showing live sports from all over the world on 11 TV screens on two different floors. It’s also proud of its food (and so it should be), which is a wonderful mix of traditional British pub food with a few bistro-style dishes thrown in. Try their fish and chips, chicken curry, beef lasagne, bangers and mash or one of their best selling burgers. Don’t miss their beer either. They have everything from domestic Chiang and Tiger beers to imported Stella Artois and Miller – some of it on draft too.
Play a game of pool on their upstairs pool table, watch a horse race on satellite or, if you’re a golfer, hang out with the golf fanatics – half of the golfers in Bangkok seem to congregate here.
