Top Langkawi Island Resorts – Superb Food, World-Class Accommodation and Luxury Spas (Video)

Langkawi Island just off the coast of Malaysia is the beach destination of choice forĀ  tourists andThai residents, who are looking for somewhere quiet and beautiful to relax. Langkawi Island is home to several top resort hotels; hotels offering picture-postcard beaches, stunning views, world-class food, spas, and luxury accommodation.

In fact, if you’re thinking of staying in a resort hotel on Langkawi Island, you’ll be thrilled beyond belief with these three.

Westin Langkawi Resort and Spa (see video below) – This upscale Langkawi resort hotel is on a massive 140 acres of grounds, fronts onto a gorgeous white sand beach, and has one of the most stunning swimming pools you’ve ever seen.

Guest rooms at the Westin Langkawi Resort and Spa consist of basic Deluxe Rooms (although you can hardly call them basic) up to Executive Suites. Outside the main hotel building, you’ll also find villas – one, two and five bedroom villas, all with private swimming pools. Of course, every standard of room features cable TV, air conditioning, enormous ensuite bathrooms, luxurious bedding, and internet access.

The hotel itself features a fully-equipped gym, a spa, four different pools, tennis courts and, if you enjoy water sports, you can kayak, sail, scuba dive and snorkel.

Dining too is wonderful, with five restaurants offering everything from pizzas and snacks to five-course meals.

Casa Del Mar, Langkawi – The Casa Del Mar is another stunning resort hotel on Langkawi Island. The Casa Del Mar features junior and deluxe suites with either ocean views or pool views, but every room is decorated in contemporary Malaysian style, that’s so luxurious yet still comfortable. Wonderfully, it’s also a small hotel with only 20 rooms, so it’s quiet and friendly too.

Each room features air conditioning, cable TV, plasma screens, mini bar, hairdryer, and either private balconies or patios. There’s an incredible spa at the hotel with every popular spa treatment, a state of the art gym, and many beach activities you can participate in.

The hotel offers incredible buffet breakfasts out on the patio overlooking the ocean, candle lit beach side dinners, and restaurants serving snacks, light meals and full luncheons and dinners.

Temple Tree at Bon Ton – Just about the most unusual resort hotel on Langkawi, Temple Tree at Bon Ton is located in 100 year old heritage buildings you’ve got to see to believe. Every room is decorated with stunning antique furniture and floor tiles, as well as old hardwood floors.

There are 13 suites, 12 rooms and eight villas in varying styles, but all are beautifully decorated in Chinese, Malay or Colonial style. Interestingly and unusually, if you want to stay in one of the villas, you don’t have to rent the whole thing either, as you can rent individual rooms in each villa, depending on availability.

The hotel has a lovely albeit small swimming pool, and there’s a restaurant, a bar, a library and pool tables, where you can relax, eat or just enjoy a quiet afternoon or evening drink. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the calmness of the property makes it a wonderful place to get away from it all.
