Top Resort Hotels in Hua Hin, Thailand

Hua Hin, just three hours south of Bangkok, is Thailand’s most favorite beach resort. Hua Hin also has some of the nicest resort hotels in Thailand, so it’s very popular with Thais and foreigners alike. Resort hotels in Hua Hin are usually close to the beach and incredibly beautiful although, price-wise, they tend to be more expensive than Bangkok. If you’re looking for a resort hotel though, check out these famous resort hotels in Hua Hin.

Sofitel Centara Grand Resort Hotel – The Sofitel Centara Grand Resort is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever been to. It’s built where the old Railway Hotel used to be, and has used some of the features of this hotel to create a ‘railway themed colonial style’ in many of the guest areas downstairs. It has 207 luxury rooms and suites, and almost 50 villas that have private pools.

The Sofitel Centara also is in an excellent location, next to the main shopping areas, and very near Hua Hin’s famous night market. They also have a wonderful Sunday brunch that’s quite high in price but has a wonderful selection of food (try the seafood, it’s delicious!). Room prices are also steep but, for all that luxury, what do you expect? For more information on the Sofitel Centara Grand Resort Hotel check out their webpage.

Sheraton Hua Hin Resort Hotel and Spa – I spent one night at the Sheraton Hua Hin recently and was very pleased with the room, the service and the price. It’s a much smaller hotel than the Sofitel Centara Grand Resort but, overall, only slightly less luxurious. One thing that’s wonderful about the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort Hotel too is the huge lagoon pool, (see photo above) which is absolutely fabulous especially if you have kids with you.

It also has an amazing spa with 12 treatment rooms, and offers saunas, spa treatments, hydrotherapy, beauty treatments and much more. The hotel also has an indoor and outdoor fitness center with all the usual equipment, plus tennis and beach volleyball. For more information on the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort Hotel and Spa, go to their website.

AKA Guti Resort Hua Hin – AKA Guti Resort hotel is relatively new in Hua Hin and is a smaller boutique-style resort perfect for those who want to be a little out of town, as its location is up on a hillside overlooking the town. AKA Guti Resort is gorgeously designed in a Tibetan monastic theme with private luxury villas all complete with private infinity pools and luxurious décor. They have a full-service spa, they offer mountain trekking, or you can just relax by the poolside and get a tan. This resort hotel is worth staying at for the panoramic views alone. AKA Guti Resort.

Baan Talay Dao Resort Hotel – Located right on the beach in Hua Hin, Baan Talay Dao Resort Hotel is built around an almost 100 year old traditional Thai teak house. The décor is traditional Thai, all teak wood and tile work, there’s a beautiful pool, lovely tropical gardens with fountains and a spa.

Baan Talay Dao Resort Hotel has more of a family-style feel to it, so I found it even friendlier than the other resort hotels I’ve stayed at in Hua Hin. Studio rooms here are lovely too – they come with all the mod cons yet are surrounded by the lushest gardens, you almost feel like you’re right in the middle of the jungle. Price-wise, it’s also lower than the other resort hotels mentioned, yet you still get great value for money. Check out their website.

There are many resort hotels in Hua Hin, Thailand, but these four are some of the best. Whichever of these resort hotels you book, you’re not likely to be disappointed.
